HOW WE WORK

Editorial Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026. HexTrainer is built to make trainer hotkeys and options easier to find and compare. This page explains how information is selected, organised, and corrected.

What belongs in the library

Coverage focuses on Windows games for which a trainer and a clear hotkey reference are useful. Popularity is one signal, but it is not the only requirement: older games, smaller releases, and titles with active single-player communities may also be included.

How trainer pages are prepared

Game identity and artwork may be matched against public store metadata. Trainer option names, hotkeys, and version details are organised into readable groups. We avoid publishing unsupported claims about compatibility, file safety, or testing that has not actually been performed.

Updates and corrections

Pages are updated when meaningful trainer information changes, not simply to make a page appear fresh. A trainer can be hidden while inaccurate or outdated details are reviewed. Readers can report a mistake through the contact page and should include the affected URL.

Translations

Translated trainer pages are kept out of search results until their option list is reviewed and published. If the English source changes afterward, the older translation is treated as stale and removed from the multilingual sitemap until it is updated.

External downloads

Download destinations can be operated by third parties. A listing or link does not mean that HexTrainer created the file or guarantees its continued availability. Visitors should inspect the destination and use appropriate security tools.
